Hello. My name is Andrew A. Johnston; I was born and raised in the small town of Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. During high school, I was introduced to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and I fell in love immediately.
I attended Nova Scotia Community College for a two-year “Marketing and Graphic Design” program where I learned about Photoshop, Illustrator, typography, marketing and graphic design history. I knew right off, that marketing was not at all my passion and not something I wanted to pursue as a life long career. I gained most of my web design knowledge from online tutorials, reading books and trial and error. With my background in visual arts, it paved the way to my success as a graphic designer today.
This site in fact was one of my college projects, where I showcased my work online. I am very happy that I have turned my true passion into a successful career and booming business.
I mostly freelance; it really allows me to have no limits with my designs and illustrations, so no reason to hold back. My true passion is web design; exploring new possibilities with code, design, content and flow. I try to think out of the box, to achieve a unique and artistic flare to each and every project.

Many of my designs have been printed on posters or apparel, I exclusively design The Digby Wharf Rat Rally’s apparel line, which included t-shirts, tank tops, bandanas, sweaters and zip-hoodies.
